First Entry

So, I'm not quite sure what I'm doing here in the first place...but I had the urge to write so I thought I would put a few words down in this not-so-modern arena called the blogosphere. Where to begin?

Born and raised in Peoria (about an hour and a half from here), I am a very proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a partial resident of Chicago and now getting to know a new area that people refer to as the "twin cities" (just depends where you're at I guess). I like talking to people. I don't like being mean. I'm a bad liar. I have a healthy obsession with music, family, my girlfriend and food (not necessarily in that order). I don't feel like an expert in any field but I know something about a lot of random things.

In an effort to not become hypocritical of those people who seem to use blogs more for self-gratification than anything, let's talk more about the blog. What am I going to write about? To be honest...not quite sure at the moment but I imagine topics will be quite diverse, have little relation to each other and their entries will most likely be sporadic. Just a hunch, but I'm thinking it would be foolish to think that a few concert/music reviews won't sneak their way on to the page, or a few weekend accounts of family events and outings with the girlfriend (although I think she has those pretty well covered at senseandstilettos.blogspot.com). I guess we'll just have to wait and see what inspires the words to come. This may only be a short life in the blogging world and it may also be the start to something I truly enjoy. I guess I'm just flying blind at this point and seeing where the winds take me. Welcome aboard and prepare for departure!
